Life’s Journey documents a one day performative workshop with youth at the Attic Youth Center highlighting items found along life’s path and what they represent to the traveler.
Inspired by the stories of students participating in journey2home workshops and their experience finding items that represent home to them, the artists explore items we may have lost during life’s journey; things that are representative of stability in humanity. Each article of clothing worn by youth represents one of seven principles rediscovered along the way: Protection, Faith, Knowledge, Comfort, Courage, Focus, and Respect.
Youth Participants: Eddia Wright, Khalil Hyden (Madame Sparx), Farris Bey, Charles Gregory, Mr. GQ Basille, Khalia, DeShawn, Phantazia Washington
