Designed jointly by Shira Walinsky and Ernel Maritnez, the Home Safe murals incorporate images, words, and concepts drawn from art and stories created by project participants. The abstracted map structure comes directly from Walinsky’s workshops at Gloria’s Place. The murals stand at the corner of 42nd and Brown streets, and are visible from Lancaster Avenue.
